BSChE Course Schedules

The undergraduate curriculum in chemical engineering may be taken in a variety of sequences depending on what a student has completed before entering the program and the student's objectives. For example many students come with advanced standing, others transfer from junior colleges, and some participate in the cooperative education program.

You will want to develop your own curriculum plan. A good starting point may be one of the example course schedules shown here.

In preparing a study program for a BSChE degree, a student should keep in mind that an average load of almost 17 credits per semester is required for completing the degree requirements in 8 semesters. Many students earn less than 17 credits per semester and hence take more time to complete the BSChE degree requirements.

Time-Shortened Degree Opportunities

A variety of programs are offered by the University of Florida which may enable students to shorten the length of time necessary for them to complete their degree requirements.  These opportunities include several credit by examination programs and other options such as Early Admission, Dual Enrollment, Increased Course Load, and Year Round Attendance.
