Readmission Procedures

The information on this page applies only to student who have previously been admitted at any level to the University of Florida.

Satisfactory Academic Record

Students in good academic standing who voluntarily withdraw from school in a given semester will normally be readmitted to the university at a later time. For this purpose, a student must complete and submit a readmission application form to the University of Florida Admissions Office

Un-Satisfactory Academic Record

A student who has been dropped from the University for unsatisfactory scholarship will not ordinarily be readmitted to the University.  A student who seeks an exception to this rule must have been out of the University for at least one semester (excluding summer), and obtain approval from the Undergraduate Coordinator for readmission.  A student who has been dropped a second time for unsatisfactory scholarship will not be readmitted to the Department.

Students on drop status applying for readmission must complete and return for approval two forms: (1) an application for readmission to the University Admissions Office and (2) a probation contract form for the College of Engineering.

The UF Application for Readmission may be obtained on-line or from the University Admissions Office. Probation forms may be obtained from the Chemical Engineering Academic Advisement Office.

Further Information

Further university requirements and deadlines for each semester are published in the University of Florida Undergraduate Catalog.  All deadlines for readmission must be observed.
